Are you ever faced with the dilemma that you want to plant an “environmentally responsible” landscape...but at the same time, you want to plant something pretty? The Plant Select® line of plants makes that choice easy for you.
Plant Select® is a successful (and local) organization that has been contributing to the Front Range landscape for over 25 years. It is a partnership between Colorado State University, the Denver Botanic Garden, and landscape & nursery professionals from the Rocky Mountain region.
Plant Select® tests and evaluates plants to find the very best varieties for use in landscapes and gardens throughout our Colorado climate. They select plants based on habit, flower power, and ability to thrive naturally in our semi-arid landscape. The group works very hard to distribute and promote these plants, giving us (as gardeners) the best possible potential to succeed with the varieties we choose to plant.
Gulley Greenhouse works together with the Plant Select® committee to help determine the very best plants for our area based on such characteristics as winter hardiness, heat tolerance, bloom quality and ease of growing.
